Infirmitas Occidentalis

Infirmitas Occidentalis translated from latin means Western Weakness. Although this is a very general title it is vastly understated. It has been centuries since the collective Western nations, comprising Europe, the Western Hemisphere, along with Australia and New Zealand, have been so weak in so many areas vis-a-vis the remainder of the world's countries. What makes this state of affairs so alarming is that the non-Western World is not really in a state of ascendancy. Rather the relative demise of the West comes from self inflicted decline, as opposed to the non-Western world advancing themselves up to the (former) impressive level of achievement once held by Western Civilization.

First and foremost the present failure of Westerners is the abandonment by vast sectors of it's population, particularly amongst the political class, on the principle of individual liberty. Rarely does any contemporary Western political leader refer to individual rights. This is a fundamental shift in philosophy, as individual freedom was the axiom which separated Western Civilization from all of their counterparts. Having an unfettered populace led to prosperity, which in turn led to military might, which then led to the conquest of most of the globe by Western nations. Freedom of conscience led to a vibrant competitive spirituality which resulted in an expansion of Christianity throughout the Earth. By 1914 European and North American jurisdictions had acquired political control over 83% of the globe's land surface. Today that figure stands at a paltry 40%. Remove the transcontinental states of Canada, Australia, as well as the United States, and the land surface controlled by Western nations is miniscule. This shrinkage is even more glaring when computing the signifigant portions within Western countries of non-Western peoples, vast amounts of whom do not adhere to the freedoms so important to Western identity.

In government after government administrations there is a rush to limit freedom of Speech, particularly on social media. In the most patronizing of fashion, as well as the most autocratic, Western governments now direct what can, and cannot, be discussed in the public forum. This includes biblical verse! Online Acts (laws) decreed by European and North American regimes, are destroying the pillars of personnel freedom. When comparing regulatory conditions within sovereign states there is little, if any, difference between non-Western entities, and their Western counterparts.

As previously mentioned militarily the Western World has not been so relatively weak globally in centuries. A comparison between the conduct of Russian armed forces in Ukraine, versus the United States military in the Middle East, is a case in point. Despite the fact the entire Western Military Alliance has supported Ukraine in it's conflict with Russia, the Russians have, with consistent incremental action, increased their control of former Ukraine territory. Meanwhile United States armed personnel, the mightiest military in the West, remains stymied by an isolated Iran, which possesses only a fraction of resources that have been provided to the Ukrainians. Iran is able to stalemate the conflict because the United States administration is not willing to incur the necessary casualties required to achieve victory. This unwillingness stems from the realization that public support for the administration would falter if even a modest amount of casualties were suffered as a result of this conflict, or any other conflict for that matter.

What is true for America is also accurate for Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Loyalty to the nation by it's citizens is a mile wide and an inch deep. Under these circumstances no Western government dare risk getting into armed conflict with any determined belligerant. Former U.S. Colonel Douglas MacGregor, a foremost military analyst, refers to his nation as a 'Paper Tiger,' incapable of triumphing in any fight, whether it be in the Mid-East, or Taiwan. Again what is true for the United States, is doubly so for Europe.

In the field of manufacturing there are no major production centres left in the West. Even Germany, once the last prominent Western manufacturing nation, is in the midst of de-industrialization. Deutschland is going into it's third year of negative territory for that entities economy. Energy is the factor pushing Germany downhill. An ill advised decision to close all nuclear power plants within Germany, along with foolishly limiting Russian supplied energy, has pushed the Duetsch toward impoverishment.

In the medical sector Western health practitioners have reached a level of previously unheard of absurdity. Many doctors in Europe and North America insist men can get pregnant! Perhaps the reason for this nonsensical belief derives from the fact many physicians cannot, or will not, define what a woman is! Aside from this surrealism there is the obvious fact that getting treated for ailments has become much more difficult. Waiting lists for medical treatment has become endemic throughout the West. Nevertheless there is no need to despair as, thanks to medically assisted suicide, our health practitioners will end our pain humanely. Sarcasm aside, this last statement is particularly true in Canada, where Medically Assisted Suicide has become a death cult!

Western women, once the most desired women throughout the globe, now mutilate their torsos with tatooes in what appears to be despairing acts of self loathing. In the TV entertainment sector, once the masters of edge of your seat crime dramas, along with hilarious sitcoms, there has been a rapid descent into neverending mundane reality shows.

Inflation is driving the bulk of Western citizens into poverty. Housing and food, two essential products for living, are being priced beyond affordability for most residents in both the Old World, and the New. Meanwhile the economy is basicly a lottery game, with the stock market being it's prime venue. It is a game with a multitude of losers, countered by only a very few winners. In North America for instance 10% of the citizens possess 70% of the continents wealth.

Spiritual belief and secular principles have collapsed in Western states.In the United Kingdom only 12% of citizens go to Sunday church. In Canada it is approxiametely 17%. Related to this development are the grasping financial foundations operated by political leaders such as the Clinton's, Blair's, Trudeau's, O bama's, and Trump's, which pilfer the public to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. Each donation to their malevolent entities is a stab at the legitimacy of Western governance.

Amidst this dysfunction predators lurk, domestic and foreign, who aim to conquer. Black Lives Matter, Antifa, Assembly of First Nations, are domestic examples of malevolent groups. Above all radical Muslims, with their attempts, sometimes successful, to impliment Sharia Law into the Westertn World, are forces aimed at destroying Westertn Civilization. That these groups are tolerated so willingly, testifies to the dystopia in Westertn nations.

Tolerance and Apathy are creating a condition whereby Western Civilization will suffer through physical and cultural extinction. This state of affairs will not last indefinitely. Sooner or later Westerners will either engage in armed rebellion against their political masters, or welcome foreign invaders with open arms!
