Is this the endtimes? The short answer to that question is who Knows? Noone except the Lord God himself knows if this is the endtimes! Certainly the events of the last 4-5 years, what some social commentators have referred to as the 'Covid Era,' have some very disturbing symptons. Conquest, War, Famine, and Death, the Book of Revelations Four Horseman of the Apocalypse, are to be seen throughout the globe. There also is a noticable rise in corruption of all kinds, as well as an assault on truth (limiting speech), and an increase in cruelty.
Yet there have been many episodes of similar situations in many lands over the last several thousands of years. Dark ages for instance have occurred among many cultures, not just in Europe, over the last millennium.
As a father of three children I hope we are not in the Endtimes. I can say with pride my children are responsible productive adults who have earned the same shot at life I have enjoyed. As a church going man who follows religious discussion, not nearly enough, nevertheless enough to pick up trends, it is unsettling to hear spiritual people who sound like they want the endtimes to happen! I have read the Book of Revelation, perhaps the best known chapter(s) in the Bible, and nowhere did I read that our Lord Jesus Christ wants the Endtimes to occur! Indeed the chapters content explains that great evil will be unleashed upon the Earth. Billions of people will die, Satan will experience considerable success until our Lord vanquishes him!
This being the case I, a very fallible individual, will be so bold as to issue a warning to those who relish the thought of the end times dawning amongst us mortals. Remember the old Scottish saying-"Bad enough something might be so without you wanting it to be so."
Gods' will be done but we must not try to hasten the end times through our own efforts. That is not our call. Leave fate to God while trying yourself to live a positive productive life!
