In Geopolitics, as in War, What Goes Around Comes Around!

By Matthew Clark

On February 19th, 2024, (Ontario Family Day) it was announced by Judge Andrew Nepolitano during an interview with former British diplomat Alastair Crooke that news sources reported the entire Israeli government cabinet members had formally rejected the two state solution! The two state solution is a policy which allows for a nation of Israel and a Palestinian state within the borders of the former British colony of Palestine. In rejecting the two state solution the Israeli cabinet was also recognizing the opinion of a majority of their citizens, according to the interviewee Alistair Cooke.

In Ukraine Russian armed forces have captured the city of Avdiivka from the Ukrainians. Video released by Hindustan Times seemingly showed large amounts of Ukrainian soldiers hastily deserting their posts in the face of withering Russian artillery shelling. Despite the tremendous material and human destruction resulting from the Ukrainian war, the policy advocated by NATO (western) nations is to arm Unkraine so that the war can continue. Given the amount of casualties Ukrainians have suffered at the hands of the Russians military, a policy of war continuance is a platform for fighting to the last Ukrainian!

Taiwan (an island nation) lies at the junction of the East and South China Seas. As such it is located in a very strategic position. This is particularly true for Mainland (Communist) China, as these bodies of water touch her shores. According to the United States Naval Institute the United States has two carrier strike groups in the Western Pacific. Canada has also sent naval warships into the area, an example being the Canadian naval vessel "Ottawa." French, German, United Kingdom, and Netherland war vessels have also made their presence known in the Taiwan Strait( Refernce Institut Montaigne)

These ships are in close proximity to Taiwan as a method of influencing Mainland Chinese policy regarding Taiwan. As such they are welcome by the government of Taiwan yet highly problematic to the rulers of the Beijing regime.

What is apparent in the three cases mentioned up till now is that western forces are the aggressors. Ukraine is next to Russia. It has been the conduit to invasion of Russia on many occassions. ( Nazi Germany, Kaiser Germany, Napleonic France). Jewish settlers in the colony of Palestine waged a successful war of conquest in 1948! Since that event the victors have been removing the Arab Palestinians (Christian and Moslem) from the land(s) their ancestors had possessed for centuries. At the end of the Chinese civil war (1949) forces of the losing Nationalist cause, lead by their political leader Chiang Kai -Shek, escaped across the Taiwanese Strait to the island(s) of Taiwan. Taiwan was part of China, nevertheless these Nationalist forces set up a rival Chinese government on the island. Protected by the American fleet the occuppiers set up a thriving, and in time, democratic jurisdiction. Yet the island had been part of China. That this was no longer the case was/is due to the military might of a foreign power, the United States.

As western national economies shrink, usually due to failed policies of poor political leaders, it appears logical to conclude these aggressive foreign policies will fail as well! Eventually the western, or western allied nations will be forced to retreat toward their own shores. At that point the question will become- Will the Western nations opponents send their militaries to patrol on the borders of Western country's? If so they will be doing to the West what had been done to them!
